Environmental certifications got the construction industry serious about how we put up buildings. The Social pillar of ESG, the S in ESG, has been left to good intentions and glossy reports. Investors, regulators and candidates increasingly want evidence.

Certified Happy Workplace gives leadership teams that evidence. It is the measurable backbone for the people side of CSR, the social half of ESG, and the inclusion outcomes that any DEI strategy ultimately depends on.

Three foundations

Objective. Demanding. Non-profit.

Most workplace awards are paid and opaque. Ours is built on three principles that make it worth earning, and worth trusting.

Objective

Multiple representative measurements validate the result, not a one-off survey, not a curated panel. The data is anonymised and aggregated, and the score is what the score is. You cannot game it.

Demanding

Two measurements within six months, with at least 100 responses or a 70% response rate per measurement, and three thresholds cleared. No shortcuts, and no participation trophy.

Non-profit

There is no fee, ever. A paid certification quickly becomes a commodity, so ours is not one. You earn it by improving the workplace for your people, not by writing a cheque.

The criteria

Three thresholds. Cleared, not claimed.

Two measurements within six months. Each measurement needs at least 100 responses or a 70% response rate. Then all three of these have to clear:

    A healthy Employee Net Promoter Score · above 25

    Average eNPS above 25 across both measurements. eNPS is the international yardstick for whether your people would actually recommend the workplace to a friend, the cleanest signal of advocacy and trust.

  2. Well-being

    Strong well-being across the eight drivers · above 75

    Average well-being above 75 measured across the eight scientific drivers of engagement, including workload, leader support, role clarity, recognition, development and inclusion. The number you can take to the board, and to your CSRD report.

  3. Stress

    Very low workplace stress · ≤ 1 in 10

    No more than one in ten people reports problematic stress levels. A direct measure of psychosocial risk, the one ESG metric you cannot afford to be wrong about.
