Certified Happy Workplace™

We can confidently and proudly certifify this company as a happy workplace due to their good well-being, eNPS and low occurance of problematic strain.

Criteria

Demanding criteria

To be certified the company needs to have 2 measurements within the last 6 months with at least 100 responses or a response rate of 70% ensuring a representative measurement. Next, they need to pass these thresholds:

Good eNPS

The company needs to score good (>25) on their employee net promoter score also known as eNPS.

Good well-being

The company needs to score good (>75) across the 8 drivers for employee well-being and satisfaction.

Low stress

The company can have maximum one in ten emplyees that experience a problematic level of stress in the workplace.

Non-profit

Non-profit certificate

Companies should not be able to buy a certification too fool employees, candidates and the public. You don't pay a dime to be a Certified Happy Workplace™ as that would skew the incentive structure. You simply have to measure for free and pass the criteria. During our 2025 fall certification a whooping 62% of companies didn't meet the certification criteria.

Objective and transparent

To make sure Certified Happy Workplace™ is credible and trustworthy it's build on multiple representative measurements documenting that the company meets the criteria across well-being, eNPS and strain.

Companies need to have at least two measurements with representative participation to be in contention for the certification. They also need to have good well-being, good promoter score and low occurance of problematic strain to become a Certified Happy Workplace™.

Complete measurements

Every company has a unique culture, processes and vision for the workplace. However, to be a Certified Happy Workplace you need to average a good score across these 8 essential drivers for well-being and satisfaction.

Development

Measures whether the employees feel they are developing in terms of career, professional skills, and personal skills.

Support

Measures whether the employees feel like their colleagues and managers are available and are providing them with the needed help and sparring.

Optimism

Measures whether the employees feel like they are optimistic about the future given the information that is currently known.

Life-harmony

Measures whether the employees feel like they have a healthy relationship between leisure and work, and make life harmonize with their life.

Contribution

Measures whether the employees feel they are useful, accomplish something, deliver good work, and contribute to the mission and vision of the company.

Recognition

Measures whether the employees feel like they are adequately seen, heard, recognized, and rewarded for their effort.

Mindful

Measures whether the employees feel like they have a positive state of mind, meaning being able to manage their tasks without feeling too nervous or stressed.

Social

Measures whether the employees feel they have good social relations at work.
